This combination of high-quality DVD player and powerful 450 watt receiver is a winner – and not just thanks to its smart exterior. The “inner values” of the DVD receiver are just as convincing: the drive plays back DVDs, video, audio and MP3 CDs. A USB connection can also be used to play back pieces of music or videos from a stick– eg. in MP3 or WMA format. The integrated FM/AM receiver ensures first-class radio reception, with RDS technology enabling additional (textual) information to be shown in the generously proportioned display. The IP 500 DR offers a total of five connections for external audio devices: three analogue stereo inputs, one optical and one coaxial digital input. This means that various additional components, such as a PC, an MP3 player or an iTeufel® Dock can conveniently be attached. A TV receiver or an additional DVD recorder can easily be connected via the digital inputs. There are four different types of video connection for the TV: HDMI, component video, S-video, SCART or composite video. At the same time, one single remote control can easily be used to operate all the functions of the IP 500 DR. There is also an unobtrusive operational control on the front of the DVD receiver giving access to key functions in the absence of remote control. The IP 500 DR has three digital power amplifiers with an overall output of 450 watts, sufficient to provide sound for a total listening area of up to 35 m². These power the two satellite columns and the subwoofer. The IP 500 DR is not available separately, but only in the Impaq 500 package.
